I just got off the phone with Randall of Brooks Farm (aka Mr. Brooks Farm Hotty Hotty if you listen to Knitty D and the City, which totally cracks me up - both the show and the name!) regarding some top secret knitting, and they will be sending me a skein of their BRAND NEW (not even listed on the site yet) yarn for a prize! The yarn is called Solana - short for solomente lana, meaning “only wool.” It is their first all wool yarn, and it is new for 2007! Photos to come next week, as it will probably arrive while I am out of town.
Also, Kimberly of The Giving Flower has generously donated a Sockfish bag pattern, because she is another lover of sock knitting! And have you seen her stitch markers? WOW. I had come across them before, but I was speechless again tonight as I looked at them. They are amazing!
