I’ve only just found your podcast and am really, really enjoying it. Well done - and don’t worry about comparisons of any nature against Brenda Dayne or anyone else - I listen to her too and think you’re both great, different in some ways, similar in others, but very talented and good to listen to.

  • 11 Liza // May 14, 2006 at 4:26 pm

Lovely to have you back. What a sweet, supportive podcast. I love your content and the smooth, flowing and engaging delivery. You’re definitely on my “keeper” list of knitting podcasts.

Hi! I’m actually listening to the podcast AS I write this! I love it and just wanted to comment on the “personal journal podcast” label…I do think of it that way, but let me tell you-it’s the only ‘personal’ podcast I can stand! Your voice is soothing, your subject matter is personal, but universal (well, at least for knitters!) and I really enjoy hearing it!
    Keep up the good work!
Oh, and PS. where’s that yarn store Mike got the Colinette at in the UK? I have a friend going for her honeymoon and she really wanted to buy yarn in its birthplace. Thanks!

So glad your back! Thanks for the shout out to the Philly contingent! I would have listened sooner, but I was felled by a stomach virus all weekend, uch - so I guess I was punished for teasing you with the Koigu.

    Love the button!

Hi Christine, I really liked this show - was that you singing the baby blanket blues? you are so talented! As for labels, why don’t you call your podcast a “friendzine mega podzinecast journal” too wordy? :-) whatever you call it, I’m really glad you are here. I love your podcast. Take care, and congrats on your THREE - MONTHS -OFF! How jealous am I?

  • 16 Kathleen // May 16, 2006 at 2:58 pm

ps - I love your pointy sticks button! if I can figure out how to get it on to my blog I will do it!

  • 17 Kathleen // May 16, 2006 at 3:14 pm

OK duh, I listened to the rest of the podcast and realize that April sang the sang, so, good on ya April! Christine, I’m sure you have a lovely voice too. :-)

Hi, I wanted to let you know that I am really enjoying your podcasts :)

I completely relate to your feelings about not wanting to finish a project, that is exactly how I am too. I have to give myself a peptalk sometimes, “Just finish it! Come on!” It’s weird, but I’m working on it!

I agree with tara, I really enjoy your format - I like that you talk about your life AND knitting. She’s right, it’s personal AND universal, it’s a wonderful thing :)

  • 19 Betty // May 17, 2006 at 9:13 am

So glad you are back! I was really missing your podcast.

  • 20 christine // May 18, 2006 at 9:49 am

Christine - your best so far! You seem so happy and relaxed! Congrats on the grades, and finishing the semester. Looking forward to more podcasts! And I like your “personal” podcast………

  • 21 Megan // May 19, 2006 at 7:30 am

Hi Christine! I am a relatively new listener, but already looking forward to your next podcast. This may be blasphemy in the knitting podcast world, but I actually don’t like Brenda’s podcast at all - one of the reasons I like yours so much is for all of the ways in which it isn’t just the same as Cast On. The person stories, the upbeat attitude, and the sense of exploring all of the many various aspects of this world of knitting. Keep it up! And I love the button too.

Glad you’re back! I really enjoy your podcast. and I love your theme song!

  • 23 Mandy // May 19, 2006 at 11:06 am

Yeah!!! So glad your back! I enjoy your podcast very much. You seemed very relaxed. Congrats on the grades! I am looking foward to the next podcast!
I had to grab one of your buttons for my blog.

Hi, Christine, I’ve been enjoying your podcast, putting it right out there as a newbie. And with all that you’re juggling, too! Bravo!

Knitting is a renewable addiction, and I’m enjoying it all over again. So it’s fun to hear about it from a relatively new knitter + a husband that knits!

I’ll be in Houston June 7-12 and would like to meet you or at least talk by phone. Please let me know if this is possible. You’ve inspired me to start my own podcast :)

  • 26 Sara // May 26, 2006 at 3:02 pm

I’ve just found your podcasts, downloaded all of them, and listened while knitting over the last couple of days! You are doing very well and have put together an interesting show! Thank you! I’ll be waiting for more!

Hi. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your podcast. Also, I totally related to the “never ending baby blanket.” I started one in February with plans to give it to my cousin for her new son, but that plan quickly changed. My plan is now to give it to my best friend who is planning on having a baby soon. Thankfully, she is still planning the wedding for November so I have some time to finish it. I hope. Maybe we should have a knit along to finish all those started yet unfinished baby blankets by the 4th of July.

    Hi,
I’ve been listening to your podcast recently and I like it. It feels very friendly.
I really liked your un-essay about labels. They’re something I think about a lot and it was good to hear another person’s point of view about them.
Oh, I can utterly relate to being afraid to finish things. Perfectionism does not help my knitting.

Hi, Nice button, it’s funny though, it looks exactly like my friends banner on her blog, you may know of it, Serendipity, although she removed the cat.
